On 10th December, Community Waltham Forest and LBWF are hosting an event that will be of particular interest to organisations and groups who work with young people, or who would like to do so.
It will be a chance to learn about and feedback on the Waltham Forest Life Chances programme, plus new funding and support from the Mayor's Young Londoners Fund, and to network with other groups and organisations. Please sign up now if you would like to come.
In September 2018, LBWF announced the findings of the independent Life Chances Commission that it had commissioned in 2017, together with a report outlining the council's initial response and plan of action. The council welcome the opportunity to learn from the experiences and knowledge of the voluntary and community sector as they take this work forward. The council also recognises that partnership working will be essential for getting the best possible results for our young people, and that those partnerships will likely include all of the wonderful work happening in community organisations.
The Mayor of London's Young Londoners Fund opened for applications earlier this year, and we supported many of your with applications and partnership development. There will be more funding available in 2019 and we would like to bring you up-to-date on this funding opportunity, and the support that we hope to offer you.
There will be light refreshments and time for networking as well.
Please register if you will attend, as we do need to know numbers in advance.
If you have any further questions, please contact Alison.
Our thanks to Waltham Forest Community Hub for hosting this meeting.
