7th February is Time To Talk Day. The day when everyone is encouraged to have a conversation about mental health.
Mental health problems affect one in four of us, yet people are still afraid to talk about it. Time to Talk Day encourages everyone to talk about mental health.
Having conversations about mental health helps break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects us all. There are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health. And you don’t have to be an expert to talk. Perhaps this is something you could do in your organisation or group? Visit the Time To Change website if you would like more ideas.
Waltham Forest Time To Change Hub is organised by a local partnership, led by Crest Waltham Forest and the Public Health team at the local authority, and which Community Waltham Forest is a member of. There will be a number of really great things happening locally around Time To Talk Day.
There will be an afternoon of Laughter Yoga at Harmony Hall on Saturday 2nd February. More information here.
