Connecting Communities is a new programme launching soon which aims to improve the life chances of residents by making our communities feel safer and more connected.

To help the Council and community work better together, we have formed four local networks in Walthamstow, Chingford, Leyton and Leytonstone. The networks create an opportunity for people to connect, develop partnerships, share knowledge and work together on local priorities.
Following the first round of network meetings in December 2018, we would like to invite all networks to join together at one big meeting. As well as having the chance to get to know others from across the borough, attendees will be involved in shaping some of the proposed innovations in the Connecting Communities programme. These are ideas to improve connection in our community, to become pilots in the borough over the coming months.
The Joining all local networks event is open to everyone – whether you're already part of a community group, local business or organisation, or just want to find out more about the Connecting Communities programme.
