Applications for the Barbican Youth Panel are now open and they would love for anyone (aged between 14-18) to get involved.
The aim is to have a diverse range of young people on the panel, so the Barbican can be supported to be a more accessible venue. They strongly encourage applications from young people with all levels of experience.
The Barbican Youth Panel exists to ensure that young people’s voices are heard and made part of the decision-making processes at the Barbican. It gives young people the opportunity to start a long-term conversation with the Barbican about how they want to engage and how the Barbican can stay (or become) a place that is open to and supportive of a different, younger perspective.
Young people are invited to the Youth Panel Open Day on Tuesday 23rd October 11-4pm to come along and find out more about the Barbican and the Youth Panel. There will be activities and a drop in workshop for advice on the application process. You are welcome to bring a group of young people from your organisation.
After this the application deadline is 5th November. For more information, please see here.
There are bursaries if there is a financial reason that would prevent young people from participating on this programme, covering the cost of travel, childcare or any other costs that would prevent their participation.
